In this altered playing card tutorial, we’ll continue to create the second card in three card set named “3, 6, 9”.
We’re going to use the 6 of Hearts (although you can use whatever you want for this altered playing card tutorial) and will work on the next set of things that I love.
The first tutorial where you learned about altered playing cards, the focus was on crackle paint and buttons. In this altered playing card tutorial, the focus will be on crackle paste and a cracked seashell as the main embellishments.
Yes, I said a cracked seashell… actually it’s a broken piece of a seashell.
When you are working with altered playing cards, you can either have the card itself show through the elements or hide all the markings. I let mine show though just a bit, keeping the focus on the elements and quote.
There is a free download below that includes not only the supply list, but a high resolution photo, printable quotes and 10 bonus tips. In there, you will find so much information on creating a wide variety of cards with different materials so you can use what you have instead of having to buy something new.
