If you’ve worked with me on any of the Book of Background projects, you know the story behind it. In this video lesson, I’m going to switch things up and take Book of Background pages and use them to create quick artist trading cards. NOTE: this can be adapted to ANY size, I just happened to want to make ATC’s.

Ready to make this? Here is what I used:

The background that was used in the video for the greenish background, the file got corrupted, so here is an alternative video which is very, very close.

Background #1: original background (green theme) and this is a alternative video.
Background #2: nautical theme

DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics
Phthalo Green-Blue – DMFA24
Phtalo Blue – DMFA23
Transparent Red Iron Oxide – DMFA41
Metallic Gold – DMFA49 (optional)

DecoArt Metallic Lustre
Brilliant Turquoise – ML11C
Gold Rush – ML02C

Mediums: DecoArt Media Matte Medium – DMM20

Brushes:
Small bristle brushes
Small synthetic flat and round brushes

General:
Stamped image of a woman or a cutout from a magazine
StazOn Stamp Pad – Jet black (any permanent ink if using a stamp)
Palette Knife
Small Scissors
Mini Alphabet Stamp
Cog cutouts (gifted to me – so this can be anything to create interest)
