If you’ve done my Book of Background series (background art painted with acrylics and mixed media), you know the next step is the DOUG stage (Doing Our Unusual Genre) and many of you use those pages just for art journaling. But there is so much more that you can do with the painted backgrounds and in this video, I’ll show you how to create 4 artist trading cards using nothing but painted backgrounds and a simple quote stamped on paper.

Artist Trading Cards from Painted Backgrounds

What did you think?

The idea of paper based artist trading cards opens you up to affordable ATC swaps. Since the ATC’s are paper based, they are thin and can be sent usually for the cost of a stamp.  Being the case, would you participate in more ATC’s?  please share in the comments below.
