In part 2 of the Random Act of Kindness series, we’re exploring mixed media art ideas that are cost effective, pretty and designed to make someone smile.
We’re all looking for random act of kindness ideas, so why not create a highly textured piece of art that is so full of things to touch and make someone smile.
In part 2 of the series, you’ll learn how to combine textures in your artist trading cards using spider web trim, corrugated cardboard, buttons and a quote.
An inspirational artist trading card can be used for much more than what it’s known for, which is usually swapping. I prefer to call them pieces of miniature art. In saying that, do you know of anyone that might need a little pick-me-up? or someone who isn’t feeling well and might have their spirits lifted with a nice card?
How would you like to try your hand at working with Sea Glass and combining it with corrugated cardboard to make a mixed media playing card?
Here’s an Altered Playing Card Tutorial so You Can Create an Artist Trading Card Featuring What You Love
In this altered playing card tutorial, we’ll continue to create the second card in three card set named “3, 6, 9”. We’re going to use the 6 of Hearts (although you can use whatever you want for this altered playing card tutorial) and will work on the next set of things that I love.
