To prepare for the next batch of printed paper using cling stamps, a restock was needed. I just came back from a “big box” art store and my jaw dropped at the price of gift bag tissue! I headed on over to $Rama and they had some really paper there and the quality was just as good, if not better. Which makes me go “hmmmmm”.
What makes this project so much fun is if you have a cling stamps (rubber stamps is in the next blog post), just load them on an acrylic plate and “bam”… your printed tissue is done.
Below you’ll find photos of the prints I created, a list of what I used in the video and an HD video.
- rice paper
- tracing paper
- tissue paper
- deli paper
- bleeding art tissue
Stamps and Ink
A variety of stamps were used and don’t remember where I got most of them. For this project, it doesn’t matter. Use whatever you have in your stash. Use theme based stamps, use typography…it doesn’t matter. A stamp pad with permanent ink is suggested, especially if you want to collage your tissue. For this project I used StazOn Solvent Ink Pad – Jet Black.
What did you think?
Have you ever used printed tissue in your artwork? What’s your favourite stamps and papers to do this?
