This is what I used… but use whatever you have.
An Art Journal or Sketch Book
Sketching/Drawing Tools such as charoal pencils, charcoal sticks, carbon pencils, graphite pencils, even pastel pencils or pastel sticks will work.

Hi Gisele, hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving and all things a right in your worldl. Just wanted to comment on your video of sketching. I find that holding my pencil like a charcoal stick feels best for me. I find my strokes are much more free, easy and relaxed than if I hold the pencil in the normal writing position. This feels more natural to me. When I sketch I do not erase, preferring to make adjustments as you do in your video. This also helps me create the stroke memory so that I can easily create the drawing… Read more »
